Greenland Arkansas is a small but very accessible community situated 3 miles south of Fayetteville in Washington County, Arkansas.

Greenland has a Mayor/City Council form of government. There are 8 council seats which are elected from 4 wards within the city. 


The City of Greenland has an opening on the Planning Commission. This position is appointed by the mayor and approved by the City Council.

The Planning Commission administers zoning and subdivision regulations. The Planning Commission is responsible for decisions on conditional uses, lot splits and large-scale developments.

Meetings are the first Monday night of each month at 6 PM. You must live in the city limits of Greenland or in the Greenland Planning District.

State Of The City Address 2024

This is the beginning of my second year as your Mayor in Greenland. I am happy to report today that our city is doing extremely well and is growing with new residents and new businesses daily. The city is financially sound and in fact we are soon to move forward on a more than $7 million-dollar wastewater expansion project that will open up more opportunity for growth in our city.
